Lisa Primas named National Distinguished Principal

Culley Empowerment School Principal {Lisa Primas} has been named a National Distinguished Principal by the National Assn. of Elementary School Principals and the U.S. Dept. of Education. Primas was among 62 outstanding principals honored Friday in Washington, D.C.

Sam's Club honors Teacher of the Year

Bob Miller MS teacher Kenneth Stedman has been named Sam's Club Teacher of the Year. Sam's Club donated $1,000 to Miller MS and presented Stedman with a plaque and a $100 gift card to be used for classroom supplies.

Call for Entries: the Shortie Awards

The Shortie Awards: Student Film and News Festival recognizes original digital media productions created by student filmmakers, ages 7-18, and their teachers. The next Call for Entries deadline is April 3, 2009.

Free health exams for licensed employees 40+

Thursday August 21, 2008 - Employees

The Teachers Health Trust is offering all CCSD licensed employees, ages 40 and up, free mammograms and breast exams, plus free prostate and DRE exams. These exams will be offered on various dates in September, October and November.
